  9. A perhaps off the track historical tidbit re SNOBOL4:  Dave Hanson
  10. retargeted Ratfor to work with SNOBOL4 rather than FORTRAN.  He called it
  11. Ratsno.  I've never met anyone else who used it for serious work, but it
  12. was my primary language for the last two years of my undergraduate
  13. course-work.

  15. I believe there was a Software Practice and Experience paper by Hanson on
  16. Ratsno c. 1978 or so.  The paper focused more on the transformation of
  17. Ratfor -- he did it in an afternoon.
